Morris Chestnut is very underrated. He has what it takes to be a leading man and should get the same support that Taye Diggs gets in his career...seriously to see his growth from Boyz in the hood to Four Brothers..he has it.Denzel is 50 and some change.Jaime Foxx is a great actor but does leading man potential just like Kevin Spacey. Will Smith is too busy feeling the sci-fi/adventure niche.Morris Chesnutt and Malik Yoba should get more exposure quality wise. I saw an interview that Morris did with a white anchorwoman. She made a comment about how great smelling his cologne was since she was sitting next to him. You could see the woman swoon. lol
Boris seems too much like an pretty boy like Shemar moore..nothing personal against him but it just the way he comes across.

I'm sorry I'm a lil' slow. lol.. What is the Chitlin' circuit?

Chitlin circuit is when performers play small clubs and venues as opposed to big stadiums because that's the only places people will pay to see them.Lots of old school artists started out playing the chitlin circuit before they broke mainstream an crossovered.
Morris and Boris are doing plays like "Mama,I want to sing" because they aren't getting any work in Hollywood:-(

ITA about Morris Chestnut - he should be getting the breaks that Taye Diggs seems to be enjoying, he's got a more accomplished & successful body of work too.
It's too bad that so many of our good actors/actresses are relegated to the "chitlin circuit" like Vivica, Morris, Allen Payne, Kim Fields & so many others. But I'd rather have an opportunity to see them in these productions than nothing at all.
Hopefully, things will change but I have to admit I think these AA traveling plays are being produced a lot better now than they were when they first came on the scene.

Hollywood won't hire them. I hope Kimi is right. Maybe these plays have improved. The whole thing just makes me sad. :(

The 'Chitlin Circuit' came about in direct correlation to racism. See blacks were not allowed into mainstream theaters, restaurants, heck even toilets. so they did what they knew to do performed in homes and 'JukeJoints', talented and underrated are my gifted people then and now.
As Tyler Perry states"Josephine Baker, Maya Angelou, Billy Holiday, Sarah Vaughn, started on these 'Chitlin Circuts'". Be Blessed for the opportunity to be a part of a culturally diversed experience.
