Run along, now; and go edit Oprah’s magazine.
Give somebody more deserving a chance.
What the hell was Gayle King doing in the Manchurian Candidate (2004) playing a journalist? There’s somebody 25 and struggling. Let her do it. Insist.
One of the actresses on The Obenson Report's Podcast 31 could have done it.
Being a billionaire’s best buddy (and enjoying all the benefits therein) and you still have no compunction about stealing taking a role from someone?
Stop it.
Rant over.

Hi TBA,
In Gail’s defense there are lots of journalists who play journalists in movies. Gail was a journalist and even a news anchor before she became Oprah’s fulltime best friend.
I don't even remember her being in that film. Lol

Funny, I don't even remember her being in that film. I can only remember the FBI lady, I think it was either Kimberley Elise or Elise Neal(I mix them up 'cuz they share a first & last name, lol).
Anyway, Gayle has always gotten benefits from being The Big O's 'best buddy', so this comes as no surprise.

I must concur with the others; I don't remember her in that movie at all.
It's funny how you bring this movie up; I was just thinking about it the other day, and thought about doing a post on how underrated I thought it was.

@ Mes Deux
I don't care. I want an actress in the role. So there. Hmmpf. LOL. :)
@ Jalilmaster
True.
@ IW
Goody. Do it. I wanna know your thoughts!
And guys, her role was fleeting. I believe there were two shots of her and a few lines of dialog.

I also have to say that I don't remember her in this flick at all! That speaks volumes that whatever she did in the film was so forgettable.
Maybe she should always wear a shirt that says "Oprah's BFF" so we know who she is LOL
Was whatever she did that intriguing that even if a "real actress" got the role, it would be memorable?

@ Kimi
Nope. Nobody would have noticed. But that actress woulda got a little change and one more credit to her resume! Who knows who she could have met on the set; what that meeting could have led to; blah blah blah.
I'm just sayin'.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Gayle King is more then just Oprah's best pal. King is clearly a shrewd woman that has used the most of her connections to Oprah. I agree Gayle should of not been in the film. I just believe there is something deeper going on between Oprah and Gayle. The long rumor is that they are lesbian lovers. Now both Oprah and Gayle deny this but....

Yes, Orville...
but...
It's an ongoing debate with me and some of my buds. I'm suspicious.
